No, can't read

So we got Oxford Reading Tree - Read at Home Collection in the post. Linnea can read the entire Level 1 set fluently, after a few minutes to look at them first. But she can't read any of Level 2, not even "the" or "an."

Hah. Maybe tomorrow.

J gets some of these for his reading-at-home. I'm now at the stage where if I get home too late to hear the story (often he reads when he's finished dinner and we haven't) I go to his bag and read it myself. Don't want to miss what happens to Biff, Chip and Kipper!

There's probably a twelve-step program somewhere for you. Oh no!

Interesting!

Alex went through a long stage in which there was an absolute division between books she could at least, in theory, attempt to read (leveled readers that said something like "I Can Read" or "Easy to Read" on the cover) and books she could absolutely never be expected to read even one word of (any general-market publication).
