Newsflash

My eldest child voluntarily read aloud from a book which was not part of a formal reading scheme. I didn't witness this historic event but Rob swears she read a story to Astrid while he was doing bedtime.

She only read a couple of pages before giving up due to words she didn't know, but it was a good effort.

She has been reading bedtime stories to Astrid from the reading scheme books for at least a week now on and off.
